I got a phone call from my mother.
telling me that if i write things that say things are crazy, i need to update them regularly.
or else people get worried. Here is the update. sort of. it is still coming.
Tuesday we get the announcement that the Mayor is taken to court. that he is kicked out, and the guy who ran against him then is the new Mayor. (the scoop is…he was accused of buying votes. everyone knows he did it, so did the other guy. no new news here. but apparently he fell out of favor with a high ranking judge, and so, the judge decided to stop looking the other way.)
Tuesday and Wednesday things are crazy, fireworks, people partying in the street–all wearing the colors of the “new” Mayor. capitalize on it, right? suck up to the new guy. We (my friends and i) stayed at home and wondered if everyone was going to be fired or not, and the future of the Living Stones program.
Thursday night the verdict came–not that the current Mayor was innocent, but that he could at least make the paperwork/red tape last until January. That means the other guy canĀ“t just take his place, there has to be new elections.
So Thursday night and Friday things were crazy, fireworks, people partying in the street–all wearing the colors of the still current Mayor. small towns. capitalize on drama.so today, Saturday, things are pretty much normal. as normal as normal is.
thank you for your prayers. concern.
Thanks for calling me, mom. I am safe.
